Hi, I’m Wes Mergard.

After more than 21 years in the HVACR industry, I’ve worked across consulting engineering, facilities management, mechanical and electrical contracting, BMS systems, and HVAC construction.
Across every role, one thing has always been clear — getting reliable, design-ready information shouldn’t be this hard.

When I was working for a D&C mechanical contractor, I spent countless hours searching for quality, technical design information — trying to cut through marketing to find sound engineering advice I could actually use.
That is what led me to create HVACR Design Noticeboard.

This site is a curated library of practical design & selection resources, written and organised from one designer to another.

Every calculator, BIM model, spreadsheet, and article is selected for its educational value, clarity, and real-world relevance to HVAC and refrigeration design in Australia.

My goal is simple — to present technical design and selection information in a clear, structured way that helps engineers, contractors, and designers save time and design better systems.
